Day 1: Arrival in Rabat

Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival in Rabat, you will be met by our team and transferred to your riad or hotel. Depending on arrival time, we may begin exploring Morocco’s elegant capital, known for its coastal charm and relaxed atmosphere.

Possible visits include the Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the picturesque Kasbah of the Udayas overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Overnight in Rabat

Day 2: Rabat → Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we depart Rabat and drive north toward the Rif Mountains. The journey takes us through scenic countryside before reaching the famous blue town of Chefchaouen in the early afternoon.

Enjoy free time to explore its blue-painted alleys, relax in Outa el Hammam Square, and hike to the Spanish Mosque for sunset views over the town.

Day 3: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fes

Today we travel toward Fes with important historical stops along the way. First, we visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis (UNESCO World Heritage Site), known for its impressive mosaics and ancient remains.

We then continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, to explore Bab Mansour Gate and Lahdim Square. By late afternoon, we arrive in Fes.

Day 4: Guided Tour of Fes

After breakfast, your licensed local guide will meet you at your riad to begin a full-day exploration of Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital.

Start with a visit to the Royal Palace gates and the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah), followed by a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the vast Fes Medina. Then enter Fes el-Bali, the UNESCO-listed old medina and one of the world’s largest car-free urban areas.

Inside the medina, discover architectural and cultural highlights including the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Al-Karaouine Mosque and University (exterior view), the Nejjarine Fountain, and the famous Chouara Tanneries. You’ll also walk through lively souks and artisan quarters where traditional crafts such as pottery, leatherwork, and weaving are still practiced today.

Enjoy free time for lunch at a local restaurant before returning to your riad in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Fes → Ifrane → Cedar Forest → Ziz Valley → Merzouga Desert

We begin our scenic journey toward the Sahara Desert, traveling through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stops include Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture, and the Cedar Forest near Azrou, home to Barbary macaques.

Continuing south, we pass through the lush Ziz Valley, filled with palm groves and dramatic canyon views. By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga. Here, you’ll enjoy a camel trek across the dunes at sunset, followed by dinner and Berber music at your desert camp.

Day 6: Merzouga → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley

Wake early to experience a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, depart the desert and drive west through desert towns and rocky landscapes.

We stop at Todra Gorge, where towering canyon walls create one of Morocco’s most dramatic natural sites. After time to explore, continue through the Valley of Roses to reach Dades Valley.

Day 7: Dades Valley → Ait Ben Haddou → High Atlas → Marrakech

We then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views along the way, before arriving in Marrakech in the evening.
